The Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU) is a department of the Institut Jules Bordet. The Institut Jules Bordet is an integrated multi-disciplinary centre, unique in Belgium and with an international reputation. The hospital is an academic non-profit organisation devoted entirely to patients affected by cancer.

The whole CTSU team fight cancer through the design, set-up and conduct of innovative clinical studies that matters for patients.

With an experience of more than 20 years, we propose a wide range of services in clinical study management, from scientific support to operational activities. We promote an academic research while encouraging collaboration with other academic partners and pharmaceutical companies.

For its IT department, within the CDIT (Clinical Data Integration Tools) team, the IJB-CTSU is looking for a motivated Full Stack Developer

Fonction

Position

As a Software Developer, you will be part of the collaborative IT application team and will be supervised by the Software Development Referent and the Development Quality Supervisor.

You will be in charge of the conception, development, testing, documenting, delivering and maintaining of applicative systems whose scope covers medical research activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, document and maintain web based applications and scripts;
• Work with other developers in order to meet requirements;
• Optimize code for speed, maintainability and reliability.

Profil

Requirements:

Profile

• A Master degree in Information Technology, Science or Engineering, or sufficient applicable experience;

• At least 2-year experience in the following fields:
  • Javascript (ES6, Typescript...)
  • NodeJs
  • Angular (or similar framework: VueJs, React …)
  • SQL, Postgresql (or Oracle, Mysql)
  • HTML5, CSS
  • Git
• Experience of working in an Agile environment

• Fluency in English, as well as French, both spoken and written
• Analytical and communication skills
• Self-driven, quick learner and team player
• Micro-service architecture
• Clean code
• Unit testing, End to End testing
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Docker…
• Scripting : shell, python or equivalent

• A full-time position with an open-ended contract
• Possibility of homeworking 1 or 2 days per week
• Training on applied information processing in medical research
